Lenovo has launched the Vibe P1 and the Vibe P1m smartphones in India. The smartphones are priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively, and will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart. The Vibe P1 will be available on open sale from October 27 onwards, while the Vibe P1m will be sold through a flash sale model from October 28 onwards. Registrations for the first sale are already kick started.

Lenovo had first unveiled these smartphones at IFA in September. One of the talking points on both these smartphones is the massive battery. The Vibe P1 boasts a massive 5,000mAh battery, while the Vibe P1m boasts a slightly smaller 3,900mAh battery.

The batteries not only feature quick charging capabilities, but also come with a physical power saver switch, which the company claims can instantly extend the smartphones’ battery life. Furthermore, both smartphones also come with an OTG charging feature, which essentially turns the handset into a power bank. They can be used to charge other USB-connected devices, such as Bluetooth headsets and portable speakers among others.

Lenovo Vibe P1 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor. The processor is paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM, and also on offer is 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-color flash and phase-detection autofocus, while up front there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. As mentioned above, the smartphone features a 5,000mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to 44 hours of talktime and up to 25 days on standby mode.

The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
