The ZUK Z1 that was leaked earlier today, has just been officially announced. The smartphone made by the Lenovo-backed company, is priced at 1,799 Yuan (Rs 18,300 approximately), and comes with the USB Type-C port alongside a massive battery.

With respect to design, the Z1 boasts a metal frame, glossy plastic back panel, and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button up front. The ZUK Z1 features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM, and offers 64GB internal storage, with no option for expansion. Looking at the specifications, ZUK Z1 is as good as the 2014 flagships but the pricing remains the biggest plus point.
On the camera front, the Z1 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a massive 4,100mAh battery as mentioned above, and runs on the latest Android 5.1.1. Lollipop wrapped under homegrown ZUI. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and the above mentioned USB Type-C port.
The company has begun taking pre-orders in China through the company website, but unfortunately, there is no word on when the smartphone will be made available outside China.
