Samsung today has updated the ChatON messanger for Android. This update brings some interesting features including a new UI as well as the SMS and MMS integration. This feature will now allow users to check the native text and multimedia messages from inside the ChatOn app itself. Google also introduced similar feature on updated Hangout service. However this feature on ChatOn is restricted to Germany and Brazil for now and might soon be launched in other countries as well.
The new update for Android smartphone users will bring a badge to notify the number of unread messages. The ChatOn app for Android tablets, on the other hand, brings a revamped UI with an easier-to-use interface and allows changing background of ‘My page’. Tablet users will also be able to upload multimedia contents such as images, videos, and location information on ‘PostON’ on this new app.
