HTC has quietly listed a new smartphone on its India website called the One E9s. It hasn’t however announced the price or any details on the availability.
That said, Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom reveals that the smartphone will soon go on sale, priced at Rs 21,900. The smartphone in the meantime is also available on eBay India at around the same price.
HTC One E9s flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with a pixel density of 267ppi, and is powered by 1.5GHz MediaTek (MT6752M) octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
Also on offer is 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. On the photography front, there is a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash and 1080p video recording capabilities. Up front is a 4-Ultrapixel selfie camera with 1080p video recording capabilities.
The smartphone also features a 2,600mAh battery, BoomSound speakers, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop wrapped under HTC’s Sense UI.
At this price point, the smartphone will face some stiff competition from the likes of the OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi 4, and the just launched Honor 7 to name a few.
