Micromax Canvas Turbo launched in India at Rs. 19,990, 5" 1080p display with MediaTek MTK6589T chipset

Micromax has launched its first smartphone with 1080p display, the Canvas Turbo at Rs. 19,990. The smartphone will be available in retail outlets starting Saturday and will be come in two colour variants, Blue and White.

The Micromax Canvas Turbo features a 5-inch full-HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T (Turbo) processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and comes with FOTA support. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, though there is no word on expandable storage. The Canvas Turbo sports 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera and also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Canvas Turbo's camera includes a number of features like Panorama, Cinemagraph and Object Eraser.

The Canvas Turbo packs a 2000mAh battery. On the app front the Canvas Turbo comes with preinstalled BBM, hike, Spuul, Kingsoft Office, M!Security, M!Unlock, M!Live and Game-hub. The smartphone supports dual-SIM with one regular SIM and other micro-SIM.
