Last month, Co-founder Carl Pei hinted that the company is working on another smartphone and will unveil it sometime in December. Now, PhoneArena has got hold of renders of a Mini model giving us our first look at the upcoming smartphone.
The renders show off a pretty slim device with a more rounded design than the one we are used to with OnePlus smartphones. At the back, the OnePlus Mini seems to have a fingerprint scanner with a dual camera setup and LED flash. The speaker holes are situated at the bottom, around the microUSB port located at the center.
The smartphone seems to sport a metal edge on the front, and the home button is absent (maybe because the fingerprint scanner is at the back). Apart from these images, there isn’t much intel on the phone yet, but the rumored price is pegged to be around $249 (Rs 16,400 approximately).
It’s best to wait till December to know official details about the OnePlus Mini. Currently, OnePlus is facing hiccups rolling out OnePlus 2 invites, and has even apologized for the same. Pei announced that to compensate for the delay, it will conduct an open sale sometime later this month for an hour.
