Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in India, called the Eluga Icon. This 4G LTE-capable smartphone is priced at Rs 10,990, and is on sale exclusively via Amazon India. 
The Eluga Icon comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS OGS display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core 64-bit processor. It is paired with Mali T760 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 3,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB-OTG and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat wrapped under ICON UI. This UI comes with gesture controls, and features like double-tap to wake the screen, air swipe unlock, and MediaTek Hot-Knot among others.
At this price, the Eluga Icon will face some stiff competition from the likes of the Yu Yureka Plus, Lenovo K3 Note, and the Phicomm Passion 660, which too offer similar set of specifications.
