WebOS powered LG Smart TV leaked ahead of CES launch

Last year, HP decided to sell the WebOS rights to LG, who did something completely unexpected and decided to put it in its TVs instead.

Popular leakster @evleaks has posted an image of the LG smart tv running WebOS, the image shows a gorgeous looking panel with an integrated stand and nearly nonexistent bezel around the screen.

The UI looks nothing like the WebOS we have seen in the past and if you had no prior knowledge of the underpinnings of the UI you’d never guess what it was running on. You can see on the screen the TV comes with YouTube, Skype, AccuWeather, vTuner and Twitter apps preinstalled, along with a web browser and other features. Then again, apps on TVs these days are not uncommon and you don’t really need WebOS to achieve this.

We are expecting this TV being officially announced at CES.
