Xolo has launched a new smartphone called the Q500. This mid-range Android device carries a price tag of Rs 7,999 and is available on e-commerce sites and at retail stores across the country.
The Q500 is equipped with 4-inch WVGA (800×400 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 SoC paired with Adreno 203 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Other features included are a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded using a microSD card and a 1,450mAh battery, which according to claims is good enough for 9.7 hours of talktime and 322 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, the Q500 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with an exclusive app called X-TransPic. What this app essentially does is translate any Hindi text on signboards or pictures or messages to English.
