Samsung Launched Galaxy Note 5 In India, Prices Start From Rs 53,900

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 5 in India priced at Rs 53,900 for the 32GB variant, and Rs 59,900 for the 64GB variant. It will go on sale from September 20 onwards. Samsung describes the Galaxy Note 5 as its ‘most powerful and dynamic Galaxy yet.’
In terms of design, it borrows quite a bit from the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones launched earlier this year. One of its talking points is the improved S Pen stylus.

For one, the company has added a new push-to-eject mechanism, which makes it much easier to remove the stylus. This mechanism came under a bit of flak when the stylus was found to get jammed if accidently inserted backwards. Samsung however had a rather curt response to this issue — read the user manual.

The phablet has a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, and is powered by an Exynos 7422 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. On the photography front, it offers a 16-megapixel f/1.9 rear camera with optical image stabilization, supplemented with a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

It also features a 3,000mAh battery with fast wireless charging support, and connectivity options like single-SIM car slot, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB 2.0. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the box, wrapped under a refreshed TouchWiz UI. The new UI brings with it features like live YouTube broadcasting, and quick camera launch to name a few.
