Recently, we have seen two very different theories about HTC’s flagship-sounding One A9, aka Aero, that the HTC will reportedly unveil soon. According to a fair share of semi-believable tipsters, this should adhere to the high-end creed of the One family, adopting a ten-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC, 4GB RAM, and Quad HD display.
Others believe the exact opposite though, and claim the One A9 may settle for a Snapdragon 617 chip, Full HD 5-inch screen, and 3 gigs of memory. In support of the latter hypothesis, an AnTuTu benchmark screenshot surfaced on Chinese social media earlier today, listing the device name in black and white alongside unremarkable specs.
In line with a crazy-seeming rumor from a couple of weeks back, the One A9 already makes use of Google’s newest Android build, 6.0 Marshmallow, which is sure odd for a pre-release prototype, no matter how advanced.
Speaking of, the design looks a little more refined than before in a series of clear hands-on live pics, but alas, similarties with the iPhone remains strong.
