After months of rumors, Samsung has officially announced its new flagship device, the Galaxy S5 at MWC in Barcelona. The device is quite consistent with the numerous leaks we have seen so far. It's looking like some of the rumors were way off base – the Galaxy S5 specs are not much different than other flagship phones in recent months, and it's certainly not made of metal.
Here's the specification list that we are aware about:
The rear panel is removable and there is a rubber seal around the battery door to keep water out, and the USB has a port cover. It's IP67 certified, so the Galaxy S5 should survive through some rain showers or accidental drop in the water. The rest of the design again looks very much like the previous Galaxy smartphone. The Galaxy S5 will run Android 4.4.2 with Samsung's customary TouchWiz interface out of the box.
