Lenovo unveiled a bunch of smartphones including the Vibe P1 and the Vibe P1m during its event at IFA, Berlin. Lenovo now plans on bringing these smartphones to India, and is likely to launch them on October 21. The talking point of both these smartphones is the massive battery with quick charging capabilities. Furthermore, they also feature an OTG charging feature, which as the name suggests, can be used to charge other USB-connected devices, such as Bluetooth headsets and portable speakers.
Lenovo Vibe P1 flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.
Lenovo Vibe P1m is essentially a smaller variant of the Vibe P1. It flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
It also features 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and a slightly smaller 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS, and on the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop.
The Vibe P1 is priced at $279 (Rs 18,167 approximately), while the Vibe P1m is priced at $159 (Rs 10,353 approximately).
