Last week, Apple released the iOS 9 update for compatible iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch. While the iOS 9 saw record-breaking adoption rate of over 50 percent, it did have its fare share of bugs. To address the issues experienced by the users, Apple has now pushed out a bug-fix update.

In terms of iOS 9 issues, some users were not unable to complete setup assistant after the update. While sometimes, timers and alarms failed to play, users who had configured custom APN lost cellular data network. There was one more issue in Photos and Safari, where pausing videos caused the frame to distort. The new iOS update, contains fixes to all the above bugs.

With version number 9.0.1, the update is around 35MB in size. However, the size of update might vary depending on the iOS device you own. You can download the update over-the-air or via iTunes. The list of supported iOS devices includes iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6s and 6s Plus; fifth and sixth generation iPod touch and all iPads except the first-generation model.

To install the update via OTA (Over-The-Air), head over to Settings > General > Software update and manually check. Once the update is downloaded and installed, your device will automatically reboot. Do note, after the update, your device may take a while to reboot.
