Xiaomi Mi Edge Leaked With Dual-Edged Display

Xiaomi has been long rumored to be working on its own dual-edged display smartphone to take on Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge. While earlier rumors named it the Mi Arch, a new leak claims it will be called the ‘Mi Edge’ instead.

The Mi Edge reportedly will feature a 5.2-inch display that curves all the way to the back. It will feature QHD resolution that will translate into a pixel density of 565ppi. Earlier reports claimed that the curved display could be used to display active notifications from stock market updates to games, or feature shortcuts to different apps.

The Mi Edge could be powered by a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chipset paired with Adreno 418 GPU, and 3GB/4GB of RAM. The forthcoming smartphone could also feature a fingerprint sensor.

As always we would suggest you take this new leak with the proverbial pinch of salt. The report further claims that Xiaomi could launch this dual-edged display smartphone sometime in October, priced somewhere close to $391 or Rs 26,000 approximately. This would make it significantly cheaper than Samsung’s smartphone, which currently is available in India priced at Rs 46,797.
