Samsung launches Galaxy GamePad for Android smarphones in Europe

Samsung has launched the Galaxy GamePad and a dedicated app called Mobile Console. This gamepad essentially connects to a range of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and offers dedicated gaming buttons. The Smartphone GamePad is available in Europe, with the rest of the markets to follow, but there’s no word on when it will come to India.

The GamePad features a D-Pad, two analog sticks, four action buttons, two trigger buttons and select, start and PLAY buttons, all fit into a 137.78 x 86.47 x 31.80mm package. The GamePad is compatible with Galaxy smartphones running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and above and with display sizes ranging from 4-inches to 6.3-inches. It connects with the compatible devices using Bluetooth 3.0 or NFC.
Samsung has also released a dedicated app that accompanies the GamePad called Mobile Console. It can be downloaded from Samsung’s App Store and offers around 35 games for buying across various genres including Need for Speed Most Wanted,  Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, Virtua Tennis Challenge and Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame among others. Samsung has also promised that more games are on the way.
