Nokia unveiled two new phablets— the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 1320 in the month of October — and earlier this week it launched the Lumia 1520 in India for Rs 46,999. Today, the company announced that it would be launching the second phablet Lumia 1320 sometime in mid-January and the entry-level Lumia 525 before that in the first week of January.
The Lumia 1320 is the second phablet in Nokia’s lineup to flaunt a 6-inch display. It features a 720p display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel camera, 3,400mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card along with 7GB of free cloud storage. The phablet runs on Windows Phone 8 with Lumia Black update and with the bigger display takes advantage of a third new column of tiles on the homescreen.
The Lumia 525, on the other hand, was announced by Nokia in the last week of November. The successor to the highly popular Lumia 520 gets the same set of specifications as its predecessor, albeit with a bumped up RAM.
This means, it features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, 1GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, 8GB of expandable internal storage and a 1,430mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. On the software front, the Lumia 525 runs on Windows Phone 8 with Lumia Black update.
There’s currently no word on the pricing of either of the devices.
