Microsoft has launched its Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 tablets in India. The tablet will be exclusively available via Amazon India for first six months. The tablet is up for preorders from today, while shipping will begin starting January 14. Pricing of the Surface Pro 4 and Pro 3 starts at Rs 89,990 and Rs 73,990 respectively.
The Surface Pro 4, also the first Surface tablet to officially launch in India, runs Windows 10 Pro and is powered by sixth generation Intel processors ( m3, i5, or i7). The tablet has a 12.3-inch PixelTouch display with 2736×1824 pixels resolution and pixel density of 267ppi. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.
The tablet is available in a variety of variants – 4GB, 8GB and 16GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage. Other important features of the tablet include 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, stereo speakers with Dolby audio, USB 3.0 support, and TPM chip for enterprise security.
Along with the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft has also launched the Surface Pen and new Type Cover, which are backward compatible with the Surface Pro 3. The keyboard is available for Rs 12,490, while the Surface Pen is priced at Rs 5,990. The power supply unit comes for Rs 8,490.
With price starting at Rs. 73,990 (core i3, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage model), the Surface Pro 3 has a 12-inch display with 2160 x 1440 pixels resolution. The tablet is available in 128GB storage with 4GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage with 8GB RAM variants. It has 5 megapixel rear-facing and front facing cameras. The Pro 3 also comes with stereo speakers with Dolby sound. Connectivity options include USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort and Cover port.
