Moto G may launch in India in the last week of January

According to TOI reports, the much-awaited launch of the Moto G in India is scheduled for the last week of January. While the company refused to reveal the price, it reckons it would be priced competitively. The Moto G starts from $179 (approximately Rs 11,000) in the US. Motorola will launch the dual-SIM version of the Moto G in India.
Motorola officials told the Times of India that the Moto G would initially be available only in certain markets in India, indicating a phased roll-out starting from key cities. Moto G is built with edge-to-edge display, a curved back, Gorilla Glass and nano coating inside and outside to protect it from water splashes.

The Moto G has a 4.5" 720p display with 329ppi. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM to provide what Motorola claims is an all-day battery life and 33 percent more talk time than the iPhone 5S on 3G networks. It also has a removable back with interchangable shells. Motorola will also make flip covers and grips.

On the photography front, the device features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera. Connectivity options include 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual-SIM card slot (select countries).

The Moto G runs on Android 4.3 out of the box and Motorola has promised that the device will get Android 4.4 KitKat by January. Users will also get 65GB of Google Drive.
